The Hamlet City Council meets regularly on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All persons are invited to attend. The functions of the City are handled through the City Manager’s Office or through one of many Departments.

The Hamlet Police Department provides protection to the people of Hamlet. The department is made up of state certified officers and other staff are trained in Criminal Information Computer Operations, firearm instruction and police training.
The Hamlet Fire and Rescue Department serves the city as well as the surrounding area. The department is staffed with certified fire fighters and volunteer personnel, all of whom hold special certification as EMT/ Paramedics. In addition, certified instructors provide fire and rescue equipment, a ladder and telesquirt truck and fully operational emergency response vehicles.

The City employs over 80 persons, each of whom is committed to offering the very best level of service.
